University of Ancona
The
presence of the University of Ancona dating back to the Middle Ages
when the city already had a law school and was in 1562 when Pope Pius VI
authorized to create the " Studium Generale cuiuscumque Facultatis et
Scientiae " featuring instruction in civil and Canon Law.It has a University Center of Documentation created in March 2000 and unified the Biomedical Technical Center with the Library of the Faculty of Economics , where 70 % of texts are versions in other languages (English , French , German and Spanish ) .
The learning objectives of this university is structured into three levels:
- Create a dynamic and pluralistic environment for recruitment and absorption of historical professors from other universities .
- Promote scientific and technological research through a strong network of national and international contacts .
- Promote the culture and leisure activities aimed at attracting a large number of Italian and foreign students visiting the city .
